Fairfield Police responded on Saturday to a call regarding a group of six Fairfield College Preparatory School students who allegedly fired Orbeez-style pellet guns at four university students from a moving black SUV, the Fairfield Department of Public Safety and the Fairfield Police Department confirmed to The Mirror.
According to Fairfield University’s Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at around 8 p.m., when the Prep students allegedly used an orbeez-style pellet gun to shoot four Fairfield University students in the Food Truck Village area on McCormick Road.
The incident was reported to the local police department after DPS officials detained the vehicle.
Five juveniles and an 18-year-old Fairfield resident were arrested and charged with Breach of Peace in the Second Degree and Assault in the Third Degree, Fairfield Police Sergeant Jenna Wellington said.
The Fairfield Mirror reached out to Fairfield Prep for a comment on the situation, but they declined to comment.
The incident was caught on camera by students in Loyola Hall and shared on Fizz.
“These kids are cooked, saw one get into a cop car and the rest are all separated from each other,” said a Fairfield University student on Fizz.
