Whether his songs transport you back to the 2010’s or you’re updated on his latest hits, Flo Rida’s music is recognizable to virtually anyone. This Friday, he’ll be headlining FUSA’s Mainstage, the annual concert held each fall for Fairfield University students. Last year, Zara Larson and Fitz and the Tantrums graced the stage in the Leo D. Mahoney Arena, but this time around, things are a little different.
The event will be held at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, and while it may not be as convenient as an on-campus show, it seems students are just as, if not more, excited about this year’s concert. If you’re still on the fence about buying your ticket, check out this list of ten of Flo Rida’s greatest hits. You probably know (and love) more of his songs than you think!
“Low”: His first and possibly most well-known and beloved hit, “Low” is a staple for school dances, weddings and parties. It’s nearly impossible to resist dancing to “apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur…”
“Club Can’t Handle Me”: This one is my personal favorite. The soft intro to “Club Can’t Handle Me” leads into an infectious beat and a memorable chorus. When you hear those opening chords, you can’t help but stop what you’re doing and listen.
“Good Feeling”: Guaranteed to put you in a good mood, this song will bring the energy to any situation. You might remember this one if you were a Just Dance fan. If you still remember the choreography, Mainstage is your chance to show it off!
“Wild Ones”: Some of Flo Rida’s best songs are made even better for their featuring of great artists like Sia, whose vocals add the cherry on top. This song is perfect for heightening the excitement while getting ready with friends before a big event.
“My House”: Another widely recognizable party anthem, almost anybody can sing along to the chorus of “My House.” This song is like the equivalent of driving home from school on a Friday afternoon right before the weekend; its good vibes are contagious.
“Whistle”: Even though many might know this song better for its association with the Josh Hutcherson meme that circulated a few years back, it’s catchy enough to stick in your head for hours after you listen to it.
“GDFR”: Better known as “Going Down for Real,” this hit is certain to boost the energy of any group or crowd. It’s a staple for school dances and party playlists alike.
“Right Round”: Yet another iconic artist is featured on this track, with Kesha’s supporting vocals bringing the dance floor festivity and making this one another memorable hit.
“I Cry”: This song is another earworm that you’ll find yourself humming without even thinking about it. Not only is it a great song to dance to, its opening melody will play on a loop in your mind.
“Let it Roll”: This one might not be as popular as the others on this list, but that doesn’t make it any less noteworthy. So if you’re ready to “let the good times roll,” get your tickets to this year’s Mainstage and take advantage of the opportunity to see Flo Rida live!
