Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business is once again recognizing students who stand out as future business leaders through the Dolan 30 Under 30 program. Applications for this year are now open through Dec. 1, 2025.
The 30 Under 30 program celebrates students who excel in academics, professional development, and community impact. Each year, 30 undergraduate and graduate business students are selected for the honor, representing those who are making a difference inside and outside of the classroom.
For many students, being recognized as one of Dolan’s 30 Under 30 is more than just an achievement.
“Being named one of Dolan’s 30 Under 30 was a really meaningful moment for me,” Elena Pearson reflected, current senior and past awardee. “It felt like recognition not just of achievements, but of the growth and persistence that got me here. The Fairfield community has shaped me in ways I never expected.”
Pearson first heard about Dolan’s 30 Under 30 program after two friends, Even Keiser and Antonio Papa, received the award the year before. Though she initially hesitated to apply, the encouragement of her friends inspired her to take the chance, something she says now was definitely worth it.
The recognition has opened up professional doors for her as well. “In interviews, it almost always came up,” she said. “It helped me stand out as someone who not only focuses on academics, but also takes initiative to grow and contribute to my community.”
Current junior Annie Shay reflected on the opportunity, saying she was not sure if she should apply or not due to the application’s competitiveness. To students like Shay, Pearson’s advice is simple – to take the chance. “My biggest piece of advice for anyone thinking about applying is to not be afraid to brag about yourself. Start by writing down everything you have accomplished over the years, even the things that might seem “mundane.”’
To be eligible, applicants must be fully admitted to the Dolan School of Business, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and be under 29 years old as of Dec. 1, 2025. Only graduate students and undergraduate students in their junior and senior years can apply.
For the application process, applicants need to complete short essay questions, submit a resume and provide a reference letter from an academic, professional or community engagement contact. Students can also add supporting materials that show their involvement or accomplishments to their application.
Honorees will be announced on Feb. 13, 2026, and recognized at the Fairfield Dolan Awards Ceremony in April.
As Pearson reflected, recognition often begins with recognizing yourself. “It is easy to overlook what you have done when you are focused on what comes next, but taking the time to reflect and be proud of your journey can remind you that you truly deserve to be recognized,” she said.
For Dolan students working to build their futures, this year’s 30 Under 30 program is more than an award; it is an opportunity to celebrate growth, purpose, and the impact they have already made.
