While the on-campus early voting polling place closed on Sunday, students can still exercise their right to vote in Tuesday’s general election.
Here’s what to know about how to vote in the Nov. 5 election.
When do polls open?
On Election Day, Tuesday Nov. 5, polls in Connecticut will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
I am an out-of-state resident. Can I still register and vote today?
Yes, Connecticut is one of many states that allows residents to register to vote on Election Day.
To register to vote on Election Day, students must go to the second-floor conference room at Old Town Hall, located at 611 Old Post Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
Students using the StagBus to go to the Old Town Hall can get off the bus at either the Marshalls/Chick-fil-A stop or the Downtown Green stop. From there, it’s a 14-minute walk to the municipal building.
I am registered to vote in Fairfield. Where is my polling place?
Students who live on campus will have different voting locations as a result of how the town of Fairfield organizes its voting districts.
Students who live in the following residence halls will vote at Riverside Elementary School: Barnyard Manor, Campion Hall, Dolan Hall, Gonzaga Hall, Jogues Hall, Loyola Hall, Regis Hall, Townhouses, 42 Langguth Hall and 70 McCormick Hall.
Students who live in the following residence halls will vote at Holland Hill Elementary School: Claver Hall, Faber Hall, Kostka Hall, Meditz Hall and 47 Mahan Hall.
Students residing in residence halls not mentioned above should contact the Office of Student Engagement or the Fairfield Registrar of Voters.

What’s on my ballot?
Students voting in Fairfield will be able to vote for the following offices:
- President and Vicepresident
- United States Representative District 4
- United States Senator
- State Representative
- State Senate District 28
- Fairfield Registrar of Voters
- Fairfield Probate Judge (vacancy)
In addition to the positions listed above, Connecticut residents can vote on whether the state should amend its Constitution to expand absentee voting to all residents.
