This Saturday, March 29, at 6:00 p.m. the Fairfield University Dance Ensemble is holding their annual performance! The theme of their show this year is titled “A Love Letter to FUDE,” to honor their dancers and dance itself. The club features many different dance styles that the performers are excited to showcase. According to president of FUDE and senior, Grace Lombardi, FUDE is the biggest group on campus. They boast almost ninety dancers being a part of the club. The eight styles of dance that can be seen at the performance this weekend include tap, ballet, irish, broadway jazz, lyrical, hip hop, jazz, and contemporary. Each style will have its own section within the performance to highlight the work the dancers have put in to prepare for the show. The variety of dance styles featured in the performance will beautifully showcase all the individual talent of the FUDE dancers.
FUDE is a completely student run organization on campus. All of the performances that will be showcased this weekend have been choreographed by the club’s own student dancers. This makes each performance even more special, as every routine is a unique expression of the dancers’ own creativity, passion, and hard work.
