As the semester reaches the midway mark, the Class of 2026 is poised to check off a crucial box in cementing their lasting legacy at Fairfield: yearbook photos.
The portrait sessions are currently underway, as professional photographers arrived on Monday to capture seniors’ smiling faces for the Manor yearbook.
Fairfield University is partnered with Lauren Studios, a family business that has photographed students at schools across the country for nearly a century.
When?
Currently, students have the opportunity to schedule appointments through Nov. 5.
If a student is unable to secure an appointment within this timeframe, it is likely that they will have an opportunity to sign up at a later date. According to a representative from Lauren Studios, additional slots will continue to open up throughout the semester.
“We work with your school to open as many dates as we can,” they said. “I believe we will have more dates throughout the semester in order to accommodate more students and we will send out emails once those dates are open for booking.”
Where?
The sessions take place in the Barone Campus Center in Conference Room 202. The room is on the same level as the Stag Spirit Shop, located just beyond locker banks eight and nine.
Pricing
It is free for students to have their portrait taken for the yearbook.
However, to schedule the appointment, the website prompts students to select from three photo sitting options.
The starting price is $99, which includes a free session with business attire poses and a yearbook.
The site lists the second tier as the most popular option, totaling out at $114. This “Graduation” session includes additional poses in full regalia and the ability to customize your portraits with “personal touches.” It is noted that students will be provided with a cap and gown.
The “Executive” session is the most expensive. At $129, the “all-inclusive package” allows students to have the benefit of an outfit change. Moreover, students may pose in a professional manner and choose from a variety of photo backgrounds.
The selection will impact the duration of the session, which typically lasts 10 to 20 minutes.
The representative notes that the sitting fees include the proofs, which are made accessible to students online within one to two weeks of the session.
“The proofs are for viewing purposes only, but we do offer print and digital copies at an additional price after the session when the online ordering portal becomes available,” they explained.
Attire Requirements
Fairfield University and the Manor yearbook has outlined the following requirements for appropriate, business-formal attire: a jacket and tie, a sweater or a blouse with sleeves.
The Lauren Studios representative described it simply, stating, “Dress as you would to a job interview.”
As the year progresses, students are advised to keep an eye on their email inboxes for the latest updates. For questions, contact info@laurenstudios.com or call (951) 272-8600.
