Fairfield Athletics will induct six former student-athletes and one team into its Hall of Fame on Sunday, Feb. 1 at Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business.
The athletes being recognised are as follows:
Laura Gleason ‘96, Volleyball
Jessica Keefe ‘12, Women’s Rowing
Lauren Liseth ‘14, Softball
Joe Michalisin ‘12, Men’s Tennis
Matt Turner ‘17, Men’s Soccer
Dana Postupack ‘10, Women’s Tennis
The 2000 Volleyball team will also be inducted.
These student-athletes distinguished themselves through competitive success, going above and beyond with their sport and with their contributions to Fairfield Athletics.
The Fairfield Athletics Hall of Fame is voted upon by a committee made up of alumni, current Hall of Fame members and Fairfield University representatives.
Gleason graduated as the program leader in career kills (1,243), points (1,741.5) and blocks (605), and still stands as Fairfield’s leader in blocks by just under 200. Along with setting and holding the Fairfield single-game record for number of blocks in one match (18), Gleason was named the 1993 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Player of the Year – the first in program history.
Keefe is the only women’s rower in program history to earn three MAAC gold medals, and totalled five conference medals across her career. Winning medals at prestigious rowing events such as the Knecht Cup, Keefe quickly became the most decorated student-athlete in Fairfield Women’s Rowing history.
Liseth was a four-time All-MAAC honoree for softball, earning MAAC Rookie of the Year honors in 2011 and making MAAC First Team selection in the three following years. She shares the current Fairfield home run record with 24, and is the Stags’ all-time leader in total bases (324).
Michalisin secured seven All-MAAC selections over his career in both singles and doubles events. Earning MAAC Player and Rookie of the Year in 2009, and being an integral part of the Stags’ MAAC Regular Season Championship victory that same year, Michalisin remains a standout figure within Fairfield Men’s Tennis history.
Postupack was named the Most Valuable Player in the 2010 MAAC Championship, leading the team to championship wins in 2009 and 2010. Postupack won 64 singles matches, with 30 of them coming in the #1 singles position.
Turner is Fairfield’s all-time leader with a 0.77 goals-against average, also ranking among program leaders with 20 clean sheets. Moving to the professional stage, Turner made over 200 combined appearances for clubs and the U.S. Men’s National Team. He also made appearances in the English Premier League for prolific clubs Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace. Turner was part of the FA Cup winning team in 2025 with Crystal Palace.
The 2000 Volleyball team planted their names in the history books when they became the first ever MAAC team to win a set at the NCAA tournament. The team completed a perfect run to a fourth consecutive MAAC Championship title and fifth straight MAAC Regular Season Championship.
All attendees of the event are invited to watch the Fairfield men’s basketball matchup against Quinnipiac at Mahoney Arena at 2 p.m.
